West Canyon 2017 - Ocelot Canyon

On April 5th, 2017, after finishing Lower Leopard Canyon we left our wetsuits on and headed over to Ocelot canyon.

We were not sure if this little canyon was going to be a waste of time or not.  We drone scouted it on the first day of the trip, and saw that it was dry.  Two days later, it rained a lot, so we drone scouted it again, and saw that it was full.

Ocelot ended up being quite good; it is the Keyhole of West Canyon.  The final sequence was an ideal place to use a water anchor. A couple of the guys ran to the top and did a second lap.  Their camp-to-camp time was 1 hour.  Fast!

If you pee in your wetsuit in a canyon, then nobody bats an eye.
If you pee in your wetsuit during the break between canyons, then everyone loses their minds.

Nobody actually peed in their wetsuit between canyons.
It is just something to keep in mind.

Back at camp we found a SNAKE!
